Rosalie Wright Cochran

April 21, 1926 ~ February 1, 2019

Rosalie Cochran, 92 year old Woodward resident, passed away Friday, February 1, 2019 in Woodward. Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at Elmwood Cemetery with Reverend Tony Barros officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Billings Funeral Home.

Rosalie (Wright) Cochran was born April 21, 1926 in Webb, Oklahoma; she was the daughter of Don and Elsie (Westenhaver) Wright. She was raised in Vici but spend most of her time in the Camargo area. She graduated from Camargo High School in 1944. A few years later she met the love of her life, Herschel Cochran. They got married on April 29, 1946 in Ashland, Kansas. Rosalie and Herschel made their home in Woodward, Oklahoma and were blessed with three children, Richard, Janis, and Debbie.

Rosalie worked as a factory worker for the World War II effort, before she became a homemaker. She worked as a homemaker for 40 years and then began to help at Woodward Public School as a janitor.

She loved to read her Womans World and Readers Digest Magazine when she was not spending time with her family. Rosalie loved spending time with her family very much, her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were the light of her life.

She survived by her son, Richard Cochran of Houston, Texas; her daughters, Janis Morris of Houston, Texas, Debbie Walling and husband Charles of Mooreland; grandchildren, Colin and Jackie Cochran of Houston, Texas, Brooklyn Morris of Houston, Texas, Kea and Chris Conrady of Woodward, Zachary and Angela Walling of Stillwater, and her great grandchildren, Kevin and Christopher Bryant, Pamela Hager, Catheryne, Martin and London Cochran.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years Herschel, sisters, Helen and Lorene, her parents and grandson Jacob Walling.
