Norma Clemons, 67 year old Woodward resident passed away, Thursday, August 15, 2024. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 am Tuesday, August 20, 2024 in the Elmwood Cemetery with Reverend Donnetta Hunter officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of the Billings Funeral Home.
Norma Jean Clemons was born in Miami, Oklahoma on October 13, 1956 to Sam Grant Clemons and Norma (Chandler) Clemons. She had two brothers, Sammy and Ricky. Norma attended the Enid State School before she moved to OARC in June of 1981. She lived at OARC for 40 years until 2021, before moving first to Mooreland Heritage Manor, and later to Woodward Skilled Nursing and Therapy.
Norma worked through OARC and also at various jobs in the community including Arby's, Wal-Mart, Pizza Hut, and Burger King. Norma enjoyed community activities and was very active at church. She loved going to Special Olympics, shopping, parties and out to eat at the local restaurants. Norma's favorites were ice cream and chocolate. She liked to watch The Walton's and Little House on the Prairie in her leisure time. She enjoyed joking around and laughing with her friends. She had many friends through church and at OARC, some of whom she had known for many, many years.
Norma is survived by her OARC family and her family at Woodward Skilled Nursing and Therapy..
