Zona Beth Kibbey Cheap

July 1, 1930 ~ May 3, 2020

Funeral: 10:30 AM Thursday, May 7, 2020 - Billings Funeral Home Chapel

Zona Beth Cheap peacefully passed away at home on May 3, 2020, following a long, happy and full life.

Zona was born July 1, 1930 to Robert and Lola Clark in Kibby, Oklahoma. She lived in Kibby as a young girl, then moved with her family to Buffalo, graduating from high school in 1948. It was in Buffalo that Zona met Wilber Cheap, and their life together began. Wilber and Zona were married June 29, 1952. They lived in Alva, and eventually settled in Woodward to raise their four children.

Zona was the best example of a loving wife and mother. Her true servant heart was an example for her children, their spouses and her loving grandchildren. She never missed an opportunity to show her love for them, which resulted in a close-knit family that is blessed to have many wonderful memories of trips, holidays and quality time together. Zona was also active as a member of First United Methodist Church in Woodward, always involved in serving others through it.

Zona will be missed by many friends and family. She is survived by her husband, Wilber, who loved her for over 70 years. Also, her children, Teri Ganes, Mike and wife Jana, Kelly McClure and husband Bill, and Pat and wife Dana, and her grandchildren McKenna Ganes, Sean Ganes and wife Lexi, Katie Cheap, Jack Cheap, Kylie McClure, Will McClure, Matt McClure, Kinley (Cheap) Walter and husband Robert, and Colton Cheap and wife Melanie. Zona also had a great-granddaughter, Sawyer Ganes. Zonas parents and two siblings preceded her in death.

A private service for immediate family will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 7, 2020 at First United Methodist Church with interment following at Elmwood Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Billings Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hope Center of Woodward with the funeral home accepting the contributions.

Well done, good and faithful servant; Enter into the joy of your Lord.
