Clarence Edward Chamness died January 10, 2004 at Poteau, Oklahoma. Burial was in the Elmwood Cemetery, Woodward, Oklahoma.

He was born June 21, 1936 in Vincennes, Indiana to Roy Nelson and Viola Cinderella (Moore) Chamness. His first daughter born when he was 24 was Gina Kay Chamness. Two years later the second daughter Terri Lynn Chamness was born.

He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, sisters Maxine Moore and Doris Risley, and brothers Todd and Bill Chamness.

He is survived by brother John Chamness, Vincennes, Indiana, daughters Gina Epp and husband Brian, Weatherford, Oklahoma and Terri Sunderland and husband Ron, Heavener, Oklahoma, 7 grandchildren, 3 greatgrandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
