Bonnie Kay Brown, 80 year old Woodward resident, died Wednesday, December 19, 2018 in Woodward. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 22, 2018 in the Billings Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Nathan Twyman officiating. Burial will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery.
Bonnie Kay (Benjamin) Brown was born on March 27, 1938 in Woodward, Oklahoma to James Orville and Mabel Lorene (Perry) Benjamin. Bonnie grew up in Woodward and attended Woodward Public Schools. She grew up working in the florist business because her parents owned Woodward Florist. Bonnie later lived in Enid and she worked at the Enid State School before returning to Woodward where she worked for OARC as a Para Professional. She retired in 2000 from OARC.
She loved country music, sweets, and working in her yard planting flowers.
She is survived by three sons, Gene Karn and wife Lisa of Woodward, Tracy Karn and wife Wanda of Moore, James Brown and wife Roann of Garber; one daughter, Stephanie Randall and husband Joe of Garber; four grandchildren, Rick Karn and wife Rachel, Jason Karn and wife Katie, Rick Karn, and Roy Karn; one sister, Pat Moore and husband Wesley of Woodward; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter Deborah Story, one brother Jim Benjamin, and one granddaughter Kristi Karn.
Bonnies family would like to thank Alliance Health Woodward and Grace Living Center for the care and compassion they showed for Bonnie and her family.
