The Woodward News July 20, 2009 VICTORIA SUZANNE "SUSIE" BRIGGS Woodward, Okla. — Victoria Suzanne "Susie" Briggs, 40 year old former Mooreland resident, died Tuesday, July 14, 2009 in Vernon, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, July 18, 2009 in the Billings Funeral Home Chapel in Woodward with the Reverend Junior Zollinger officiating. Interment will be in the Elmwood Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Billings Funeral Home.
Victoria Suzanne (Smith) Briggs was born on May 8, 1969 in Stella, Missouri to John Charles and Betty Jean (Cain) Smith. She grew up in Mooreland and attended the Mooreland schools. Susie was united in marriage to Perry Briggs on October 14, 1994 in Guymon, Oklahoma. They made their first home in Guymon, before moving to Dallas and to Vernon, Texas in 2002. They have lived in Vernon since that time. Susie worked at the DFW International Airport as a Security Guard.
She loved to draw and could always be found reading a book. Her family and friends gave her the most enjoyment in her life.
She is survived by her two sons, Ricky Noreuil who is in the United States Army, stationed in South Korea; Kelsey Noreuil of Woodward; two daughters, Shonda Hunter and husband Aaron of Woodward, Shanda Noreuil of Woodward; her mother, Betty Pitcherello and husband George of Mooreland; three brothers, Bobby Smith, Billy Smith, Ronnie Smith; two sisters, Kathy Smith, Chrystal Vineyard, three grandchildren, Kenzy Hunter, Cyrus Watkins and Casi Noreuil; other relatives and many friends.
Susie was preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Alice Smith and her dad, John Charles Smith.
