Judy Boyd, 67 year old Woodward resident, passed away Wednesday, January 2, 2019 in Woodward. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, January 7, 2019 in the Billings Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
Judy Carol (Bowden) Boyd was born on November 19, 1951 in Bessemer, Alabama; she was the daughter of Fred Richard and Mary Elizabeth (McKeaver) Bowden. Judy attended school in Dolamite, Alabama. She was united in marriage to Peter Roy Boyd on January 25, 1969 in McCalla, Alabama, they made their home in Bessemer, Alabama. Judy and Peter were blessed with one son Mark. Judy and her family moved to Woodward, where she worked for the Woodward Hospital. Judy retired from the hospital after working more than 20 years.
Judy was a devoted mother, loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. She also enjoyed playing bingo and card games.
Judy is survived by her husband Peter of the home; son, Mark Boyd and wife Tania of Mooreland; three grandchildren; Emily Boyd; Talia Lewis; and Garrett Boyd; brother, Bobby Bowden and wife Sandra; sister-in-law; Betty Bowden all of Alabama; several nieces; nephews other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Dot Bowden and Betty Bowden and a brother, Jack Bowden.
