Darrell A. Berry, 62 year old Woodward resident, died Monday, October 12, 2009 in Oklahoma City. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 16, 2009 at the Billings Funeral Home Chapel with James Bailey officiating. Interment will be in the Elmwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Billings Funeral Home on Thursday, October 15, 2009 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Darrell A. Berry was born on September 10, 1947 in Delta, Colorado to Dennis and Erma (Highfill) Berry. Darrell was reared in Woodward and attended school there. He was united in marriage to Cathy Rae Roth and to this union two sons, Christopher and Greg. Darrell worked in the oilfield as a Roughneck and a truck driver.
He enjoyed watching sports on TV and loved visiting with family and friends.
He is survived by two sons, Christopher Berry and fiancé Jennifer Arndt of Winfield, Kansas, Greg Berry and wife Jackie of Woodward; six grandchildren, Morgan, Brittany and Colton Berry, Kaydence, Kalayna and Dylan Berry; one brother John Berry and wife Cheryl of Kennedale, Texas; three sisters Beverly Croisant and husband Deon of Woodward, Euna Faye Armstrong of Park City, Kansas, Veda Gonser and husband Jack of Mooreland. He is also survived by many good, loving friends, family and a very special Aunt Oma of Mooreland.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Danny Berry, Rodney Berry and Leroy Beetem.
In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Darrell’s memory to Paws For Reflection Ranch, with the funeral home accepting the contributions.
