Braxton Glenwood Babbidge, 32, of Huntsville, Alabama, passed away suddenly at his home on Wednesday, June 24, 2026.
Braxton is survived by his mother, Maleea Babbidge; his father, Louis Babbidge; his brother, Mason Babbidge; his niece, Parker Babbidge; his grandmother, Bay Babbidge; his Granny, Marlene Miller; his wife, Casey; many beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins; his 4 cats, Paprika, Haze, Hopper, and Obi; and his many friends and coworkers who cherished him dearly.
Braxton is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Ronald Dean Miller; his paternal grandfather, Lewis Glenwood Babbidge; and his cat, Aegon/Egg.
Braxton was a man of many passions and hobbies; he loved playing and watching sports, going to WWE live and always making sure that he never missed a RAW or SmackDown recording. He adored Pokémon and was always working on building the perfect shiny team. He loved comic books more than normal books, and he never missed a new release. He loved playing video games and getting all of the collectibles from the games he played the most. He loved collecting Magic: The Gathering cards, having game nights with his friends, and going to Magic Con.
Growing up in New Hope, he was a consistent member of the basketball and baseball teams and national honor society. He graduated from the University of Alabama in Huntsville in 2016 with a degree in Information Systems and started his career as a software engineer shortly after. He was a member of Whitesburg Baptist Church and baptized into Christ in 2003.
Braxton was an extremely caring and giving person and was always the first person to help a friend in need. He was intelligent, generous, and loyal to everyone he loved. He was deeply and wholly loved by his family, friends, and coworkers, and will be sincerely missed by everyone who knew him.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 1, 2026 in the Billings Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Steve Scott officiating. Burial will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery.
