Woodward, Okla. — Paula Jo Anderson, 27 year old Woodward resident, died Sunday, December 6, 2009 in the Woodward Regional Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 10, 2009 at the Lincoln Avenue Baptist Church with the Reverend Jason Dirks officiating. Burial will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery with the Billings Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Paula Jo (Jackson) Anderson was born on January 2, 1982 to John Richard and Debora Ann (Taylor) Jackson. She was reared in Woodward and graduated from Woodward High School in 2001. She was united in marriage to Chris Anderson on October 11, 2002. They made their home in Amarillo, Texas. To this union they were blessed with two children, Elijah Scott on July 8, 2004 and Stefan Mark on October 2, 2005. Paula worked for Canyon After School Program (CASP) from 2001-2004. They lived in Independence, Missouri for a period of time before moving back to Woodward in 2007. Paula worked for Aunt Shirley’s and for Pioneer Telephone, but most of all she was a stay at home Mommy. She was currently enrolled at the High Plains Vo-Tech to get her EMT license.

Paula was a member of the Lincoln Avenue Baptist Church. She loved hanging out with her friends, being on the computer on My Space, going to the lake, taking her kids to the park, shopping, and being with her family. Paula was also a Relay for Life participant.

She is survived by her two sons, Elijah Scott and Stefan Mark of the home; her mother, Debbie Goree and husband James of Woodward; one brother John Michael Jackson of Oklahoma City; maternal grandparents, Billie Witt and husband Don of Woodward; paternal grandmother, Paula Jackson of Woodward; her special friend, Cody Phillips of Woodward; other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her dad John Richard Jackson on April 3, 2007.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Paula Anderson Children’s Education Fund with the funeral home accepting the contributions.
