The funeral for Keith Allison Adams, 70, will be at 10 AM Thursday at the First United Methodist Church in Woodward. The Revs. Doug Burr and Tony Barros will officiate. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery under direction of Billings Funeral Home.
He was born March 1, 1924, in Sharon, Kansas, to W. H. and Alice Pickerill Adams and died Monday, February 6, 1995, at the Woodward Hospital and Health Center. He attended Sharon schools, graduating from Sharon high school in 1941.
On September 9, 1941, he married Edith Lena law at Cherokee, they lived on the family farm in Sharon, Kansas. In 1958 he began work in the oil fields. They lived in Medicine Lodge and Liberal, Kansas, before moving to Woodward in 1968. In 1979, they moved to Sallisaw. He continued to work in the oil fields. In 1985, he began working for Burns International Security Company at Fort Smith, Arkansas, and continued to work until ill health forced his retirement in 1989. In 1991, they moved back to Woodward. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
Surviving are his wife; three daughters, Sherrilyn Polf of Strasbury, Colorado, Patti Scroggins and Karen Wellman, both of Woodward; two sons, Rob of Jones and Marion of Lakewood, Colorado; one brother, Floyd Conard of Kiowa, Kansas; one sister, Maurine Cox of Attica, Kansas; 14 grandchildren; and 11 great – grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.
