WILMA JEANETTE GORDON

WILMA JEANETTE GORDON, 82, of Mutual, passed into the arms of her Lord on August 11, 2015 in Seiling. Wilma was born to Harry Oliver and Nellie Bernice (Young) Glendinning in Mutual on July 21, 1933. She was raised and educated in the Mutual area. On July 27, 1950, she was married to the love of her life Donald Gee Gordon, a union of 54 years until his passing in 2004. The couple made their home in Mutual where they were farmer/ranchers. She was baptized in the Methodist Church and always helped by providing salads and desserts for church functions. In her spare time, Wilma enjoyed cooking, baking, and long conversations with her family and friends. Wilma will be remembered for her cakes, cooking for the farmhands, her love of people, holding her great grandbabies, and her penchant for sweets (and always having extra M and M’s for the great grandkids.

In addition to her parents, Wilma was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Gee Gordon; two brothers Robert and Gene Glendinning; and two sisters, Neva Glendinning, and Pauline “Sis” McAleney.

Left to carry Wilma’s legacy are her three children Ivan Gordon and wife Marilyn, Debby Robertson and husband Lonnie, and Nancy Stepp and husband Tommy; four grandchildren Randy Gordon, Joe Don Robertson and wife Jennifer, Heather Hague and husband Beau, and Chris Stepp; five great grandchildren Jackson and Jake Robertson, and Madeline, Hank, and Hampton Hague; two sisters-in-law Ailene Glendinning and Elma Glendinning; god-daughter Karla Cunningham and husband Vince and their son Brent Lee, as well as several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, August 14, 2015 at Elm Grove Community Church with Pastor Orville White presiding. Burial will follow at Dunlap Cemetery.
