VURA FRANCES ATWELL

20 Oct 1903 - 4 Sep 1988

Vici – Vura Atwell, 84, died Sunday at a Woodward hospital. The funeral was held Tuesday in The Garden Chapel of Good Samaritan Funeral Service at Woodward. The Rev. Carroll McCoy officiated. Burial was in Dunlap Cemetery near Mutual under the direction of Good Samaritan.

Vura Frances Allison was born October 20, 1903, in a Moscow Flats community to Frank and Anna Allison.

She married Fred Atwell at the Woodward Courthouse on August 21, 1922.

The Atwells lived a short time in Chino, California, before moving to the Mutual and Richmond areas. In 1940, they moved to a farm north of Vici.

Atwell is preceded in death by her husband in 1976, two sons, a daughter, a grandson, two brothers and a son – in – law.

Surviving are a brother, Edd of Ceres, California; two daughters, Peggy Wood of McKinney, Texas, and Wanda Styles of Woodward; a son, Virgil of Woodward; four grandchildren; and six great – grandchildren.
