MARY HALL

Woodward, Okla. — Mary Hall, 91 year old Mooreland area resident, passed away on Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at the Seiling Nursing Center in Seiling. Graveside funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, September 9, 2011 at the Curtis Cemetery with the Reverend Scott Ware officiating. Burial will follow with the Billings Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 8, 2011 from 1:00 p.m to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home in Woodward.

Mary Ophelia (Jackson) Hall was born on January 21, 1920 near Gage, Oklahoma; the daughter of Edward P. and Luella S. (Morgan) Jackson. Mary lived most of her life in western Oklahoma; other than a short time in Madera, California and Bull Shoals, Arkansas. She and her husband moved to Mooreland in March of 1954 and lived on a farm southeast of Mooreland until about 2005 when she went to live in the Seiling Nursing Center.

Mary went to the 8th grade in a country school in Roger Mills County, Oklahoma. She was united in marriage to Clarence M. Hall on September 6, 1937 in Cheyenne, Oklahoma. To this marriage six children were born, three daughters and three sons. Mary was a housewife and homemaker, and worked in the fields like a man helping her husband. She was a very hard working woman.

She is survived by five children, Pearl Hall of Mooreland, Calvin Hall and wife Rita of Ulysses, Kansas, Eva Mae Fields and husband Ronald of Washington, Arkansas, Wayne Hall and wife Colleen of Mooreland, David Hall and wife Jodie of Mooreland; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; other relatives and one sister Johnnie Bell Ferguson of Woodward.

She was preceded in death by her husband Clarence M. Hall on May 29, 2002, a daughter Vivian Lee Diermier on October 13, 2007, four brothers and one sister.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation, Diabetes Research with the funeral home accepting the contributions. Remembrances may be shared online at www.billingsfuneralhomewoodward.com.
