Joyce Lee Johnson Matteson was born May 29, 1936, at home in Belva, Oklahoma, to Silas and Marvel Leona Dwyer Johnson Sale. She went to be with her Heavenly Savior on January 2, 2022, at her home north of Quinlan, Oklahoma.

On April 5, 1953, Joyce married Wesley Eugene Matteson.

Joyce is survived by four children, nine grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, one sister-in-law, as well as other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, sister and one son-in-law.

Memorials may be sent to First United Methodist Church in Mooreland, Mooreland Volunteer Fire Department, WOOF of Woodward (Pet Rescue).

Services will be held at Mooreland United Methodist Church, on Saturday, January 8, 2022, at 2 p.m., with Rev. Micah Welcher officiating. Turner Funeral Home, Hinton, Oklahoma, is in charge of arrangements. Condolences may be sent to the family at turnerfuneralhomes@gmail.com.
