The funeral for Richard Dick Wilson, 82, of Wichita,
Kan., will be 1 p.m Friday at Waynoka First Christian Church. The Revs.
Robert Bull and Aaron Nutter will officiate. Burial will be in Waynoka
Municipal Cemetery. Arrangements are by Marshall Funeral Home, Waynoka.
He was born Oct. 1, 1923, at Shreveport, La. to Marion A.
and Tollie Connell Wilson and died Saturday, Oct. 29, 2005, in Wichita.
He attended school in Waynoka and graduated from Fair
Park High School in Shreveport. He served in the Army.
He married Hazel Neoma Wilson Aug. 17, 1944, at Overland,
Kan. They lived in Waynoka and Amarillo where he was yardmaster for
Santa Fe Railroad. He retired in 1982, and they moved to Jet. In 1999,
they moved to Wichita.
He was a member of Christian Church, and I.O.O.F.
Surviving are one son, Ralph Warren Wilson of Cushing;
one daughter, Mary Anne Baker of Maize, Kan; four grandchildren; and
four great-grandchildren.
Besides his wife, Hazel, he was preceded in death by one
brother.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Maize
United Methodist Church or Hospice Care of Kansas.
