ENID — Ritson Urban, 48, of Roosevelt, Okla., passed away at his home, Saturday,
Dec. 25, 2010. He was born Dec. 30, 1961, to Fred and Katherine (McNally) Urban.
Ritson was part of the first graduating class from the new Waynoka High School
building in 1980. He graduated from Panhandle State University in 1984 and began
student teaching at Fort Supply (1984-1985) and was an ag teacher in Waynoka in
1986.
Ritson married Melody White Jan. 1, 1995, in Boise City. She preceded him in
death June 10, 2010.
Ritson began temporary work with Farmers Home Administration in Alva and
Frederick and became permanent in 1988 in Frederick, Lawton and Walters then to
Hobart in 1996. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Roosevelt, and was an
avid sheep showman.
Survivors are two sons, Kashen Urban and wife Katie of Cushing and Kamden Urban
of Roosevelt; daughter, Kailen "Sister" Urban, Roosevelt; nephew, Micheal Meyer
and wife Jenni of Vernon, Texas; two brothers, Fred Urban, Odessa, Texas, and
Kenny Urban and wife Carol of Farmington, Ill.; two sisters, Golda Kopf and
husband Wendell of Pearland, Texas and Lora Meyer of Waynoka; many nieces,
nephews and extended family.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Melody, his parents and one sister, Louise
Rutledge.
Service is 11 a.m. today, Dec. 28, 2010, at Waynoka High School Auditorium.
Burial to follow in Waynoka Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the memorial fund for the Urban children
at BancFirst, Hobart.
