Waynoka Cemetery


The funeral for Elmer Ross, 66, of Waynoka, will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Waynoka First Baptist Church. The Rev. Scott Page will officiate. Burial will be in Waynoka Municipal Cemetery. Arrange-ments are by Marsh-all Funeral Home, Waynoka.

He was born March 21, 1940, in Hartshorne, to Buster and Leona Baxter Ross and died Monday April 10, 2006.

He married Dorothy Lucille Hogan Aug. 19, 1960, in Pauls Valley. He was a heavy equipment operator in the pipeline construction business. In 1976, he went to work for Litzenberger Construction, Waynoka. He re-tired in 2005.

Surviving are his wife, Dorothy of the home; two sons, Randy Ross of Mooreland and Steven Ross of Waynoka; two daughters, Lisa Young of Weatherford and Tracy Lyon of Waynoka; seven brothers, Gordon Ross and Tommy Ross, both of Hoyt, Henry Ross of Moran, Kan., Charles Ross of Roff, Clinton Ross of Vernal, Utah, Carl Ross of Del City and Sidney Ross of Chickasha; four sisters, Ivy Milner of Oklahoma City, Linda Lovelace of Midwest City, Wanda Holmes of Vernal and Brenda Ross of Emporia, Kan.; 13 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one brother and one grandson.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Waynoka Fire Department Women’s Auxiliary.
