Waynoka Cemetery


The funeral for Irvin Allen Mullins, 61, of Waynoka, will be 10 a.m. Monday, June 29, 2009, at First Christian Church, Waynoka. The Rev. Charles Newton will officiate. Burial will be in Waynoka Municipal Cemetery . Arrangements are by Marshall Funeral Home, Waynoka LLC.

He was born July 15, 1947, in Alva to Irvin Gale and Leveda Erlene Stevens Mullins and died Thursday, June 25, 2009, at his home.

Following graduation from Waynoka High School, he earned his teaching degree at Northwestern Oklahoma State University. He taught and coached in Freedom, Waynoka, Pioneer and in Kansas for several years. He then returned to Waynoka, where he farmed and ranched.

He married Carrie Macey in June 2000. They made their home east of Waynoka. He was a member of Waynoka First Christian Church, Rowdy Rangers and Waynoka Saddle Club. Surviving are his wife, Carrie, of Waynoka; one son, Travis Mullins of Salt Lake City; three daughters, Kimberly Kay Watkins of Waukomis , Marsha Bowers of Woodward and Tiffany Lane of Houston; one brother, Kelly Mullins of Quinlan; and 10 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one brother.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation, cancer research.
