Betty Joe (Cleckner) Litzell
January 29, 1940 - August 10, 2022

A Celebration of Life will be Monday August 22, 2022 at 10am at First United Methodist Church in Enid with Senior Pastor Devon Krause officiating. A family burial will follow at Waynoka Municipal Cemetery at 1:30pm.

Betty was born January 29, 1940 to Chester Cleckner & Dixie (Weaver) Cleckner at home & passed away August 10, 2022 in The Commons in Enid, OK under the care of Hospice Circle of Love.

She attended & graduated from Waynoka High School. She married John Nelson Litzell in 1956 & he passed away in 1980. She then married Kenneth Burchardt in 1984 & divorced in 1997. Betty attended First United Methodist Church. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, quilting, her ladies clubs & traveling.

Betty is survived by her fiance & traveling companion of 7 years Dean Johnson who loved her & will miss her dearly, daughter Jackie Lewis & husband Ron & grandson Jonathan Thompson of Enid, son Earl Litzell & wife Laura of Claremore, OK, granddaughter twins Devin Litzell & Elizabeth McCutchen & husband Gray, Jamie Vanhoose, Kendra Spain & Kathrine Good, sisters Carlene Huffman of Waynoka, OK & Wanda Gordon of Drummond, OK, several nieces & nephews.

Betty is predeceased by husband John Nelson Litzell, son John Litzell & Glenn Litzell, grandsons Rocky (Earl) Litzell & Christopher Thompson, father Chester Cleckner, mother Dixie Cleckner (Ewbank) & sister Rosalee Johnson.
