ENID — Graveside service for Stuart Hodges will be 10 a.m. Saturday, May 25, 2013, in Waynoka Municipal Cemetery, with Don Hull officiating. Interment is under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home of Waynoka, LLC.

Stuart Hodges, son of the late Harold and Della (Howell) Hodges, was born June 15, 1920, in Waynoka, Okla., and passed away Thursday, May 23, 2013, in Oklahoma City, Okla., at the age of 92 years, 11 months, and 8 days.

Stuart graduated from Waynoka High School.

On Jan. 16, 1960, he was united in marriage to Eldena Boland Drake in Tucumcari, N.M. They made their home in Waynoka, where he worked as a switchman for the railroad, an oil field pumper, and as a farmer/rancher.

He was a member of Morning Star Baptist Church. He enjoyed horses and visiting with family and friends.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Eldena, and one grandson, Darin Clapper.

Stuart is survived by four children, Rex Hodges and wife Winona of Woodward, LeaAnn Miller and husband Allen of Waynoka, Tama Weitfeldt and husband Tim of Denver, Colo., and Mac Drake and wife Linda of Waynoka; and one sister, Waynona Jones of Winfield, Kan.

Also surviving are seven grandchildren, John Miller and wife LeAnne of Wichita, Kan., Mylee Bell and husband Jon of Amarillo, Texas, Kama Brune and husband Phillip of Joplin, Mo., Melanie Green and husband Danny of Waynoka, Kellie Taylor and husband Kyle of Woodward, and Mindy Holt and husband J. T. of Waynoka; 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and other relatives and friends.

Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to Waynoka EMTs.
