James "Jim" Albert Denney
December 6, 1944 - April 27, 2021
Celebration of Life Service for James “Jim” Denney, 76 of Enid, will be Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at 10:00 am in Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel. Private family inurnment will be in the Waynoka Cemetery. Cremation arrangements by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home and Crematory.
Jim was born on December 6, 1944 in Freedom, Oklahoma to Delbert and Minnie Ruth (McMoran) Denney and died on April 27, 2021 at his home in Enid.
He grew up in Freedom and Miami, Oklahoma and graduated from Miami High School. Jim then attended Northeastern Oklahoma College. He was the father of three children, Grant, Jason and Jan. Jim was a truck driver for over 30 years and worked for several years in the oilfield. He later worked as a police officer, sheriff deputy, and security guard. Jim enjoyed fishing, deer hunting, and took great pride in his children and grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Patricia.
He is survived by his children, Grant Denney of Terrell, Texas, Jason and wife, Regina Denney of Enid, and Jan and husband, Mark Hilderbrand of Blue Jacket, Oklahoma; ten grandchildren and one great grandchild; other relatives and friends.
Memorials may be made through Anderson-Burris to Our Daily Bread.
