ENID, Okla. — Graveside service for Leota Decreta “Dody” Wood will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, 2012, in Waynoka Municipal Cemetery, with Pastor Ken Higgins officiating. Interment is under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home of Waynoka, LLC.
Leota Decreta “Dody” Wood, daughter of the late Chester Arther and Eva Elmyra (Bartlett) Rawson, was born Feb. 15, 1922, in Waynoka, Okla., and passed away Thursday, Nov. 1, 2012, in Clovis, N.M., at the age of 90 years, 8 months, and 16 days.
Dody attended Waynoka schools.
On July 24, 1936, she was united in marriage to Garnett M. Bails in Waynoka, Okla. She was a housekeeper at Alva General Hospital and caretaker of her parents.
She attended Faith Christian Family Church in Clovis, N.M. As a devoted family woman, she enjoyed her children and grandchildren.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Wayne Bails; one brother, Clifford Rawson; and one sister, Leona Sims.
Dody is survived by one son, Robert Bails of Clovis, N.M.; one brother, Donald Rawson of Alva; three grandchildren, Cynthia Carthel and husband Michael of Melrose, N.M., Tony Bails and wife Vicky of Bushland, Texas, and Lorrie Bails of Enid; six great-grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and other relatives and friends.
Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to American Heart Association.
