Serena J. Shelite, 81, Alva
She was preceded in death by her father on May 13, 1957; her mother on June 28, 1994; and two brothers, William J. on Jan. 4, 1993, and Leo on Feb. 20, 1997.
Serena is survived by her three daughters, Sarita Simon and Lenette (Gus) Shelite, both of Alva, Mary Jane and her husband Jules Constantin of Bucklin, Kan.; a son, Leonard Charles Jr. (Chuck) and his wife, Barbara of Edmond; five grandchildren, Kimberly Michelle Pribble and her husband Chad, Chad Christopher Simon and his wife Stacie, Jeffery Charles Simon and Jules J. Constantin III and Anna Lu Shelite. She is also survived by two sisters, Esther Hays of Alva, and Rita and her husband, Denzil Mantz of Wichita, Kan.; two sisters-in-law, Donna Terwort of Alva, and June Terwort of Kiowa, Kan.; a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Sept. 12 at the Alva Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Dave Imming, pastor, officiating. Interment will be in the Sacred Heart Cemetery, Alva. Wharton Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Contributions may be made in her memory to the Alzheimer's Association.
