Marie Ann Isenbart, 78, Alva

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Thomas and Joe.

Marie is survived by her husband, Fred of the home; two sons, and four daughters: Angela and Tom Reid of Alva, Carolyn and Boyd Roberts of McKinney, Texas, Fred and Lana Isenbart of Alva, Ron and Jo Ann Isenbart of Alva, Deanna and Tim Smith of Broken Arrow, and Connie and John Corral of Broken Arrow. Marie had fourteen grandchildren: Ryan and Michelle Reid of Dodge City, Kan.; Eric Reid of Chicago, Ill.; Shannon Reid of Stillwater; Natalie and Kent Salisbury of Lawrence, Kan.; Tyson Roberts of McKinney, Texas; Nathan Roberts of Lawrence, Kan.; Jennifer and Eric Farrar of Jasper, Texas; Heath Isenbart of Norman; Chase, Amanda, and Julie Isenbart of Alva; Olivia Smith, Emily Corral, and Ashley Corral of Broken Arrow. Her two great grandchildren are Ryan and Thane Reid of Dodge City, Kan. Also surviving are three sisters, Dorothy Landry of Cheyenne Wells, Colo., Sister Mary Christian of Great Bend, Kan., and Lucille Jarus of Ellsworth, Kan., in addition to a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Sept. 21 at the Alva Sacred Heart Catholic Church officiated by Father Dave Imming, pastor. Interment will be in the Alva Sacred Heart Cemetery. Wharton Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to the Sacred Heart Church Foundation or The American Cancer Society.

Funeral services for Fred Isenbar will be Saturday, February 2, 2019, at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Rev. Bala Sagili Jesudas officiating. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery under the direction of Wharton Funeral Chapel. Online condolence may be made at http://www.whartonfuneralchapel.com.

Fredrick Joseph Isenbart, lifelong Alva farmer and rancher, passed away peacefully at Share Medical Center on January 26, 2019, at the age of 96.

The youngest of nine children born to Henry and Eva (Kunzman) Isenbart, Fred was born April 4, 1922, at the family farm northwest of Alva. He was a lifelong parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

He married the love of his life, Marie Ney, on August 10, 1944, in Hanston, Kansas. They were blessed with six children, 14 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and two great-great granddaughters. Faith and family were their top priorities. They were married 57 years, until Marie's death in 2001.

In addition to farming and ranching, Fred served on the ASC board, the Rural Water District Board, the Woods County Election Board, the Sacred Heart Parish Council, the Sacred Heart Cemetery Board and was a member of the Knights of Columbus.

Fred loved being with people, had a caring heart, and a playful sense of humor. He enjoyed fishing, dancing and playing cards with family and friends. He will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Marie, two grandchildren Natalie Salisbury and Tyson Ray Roberts; brothers, Cecil, Msgr. A.A., Lawrence, and Von Isenbart and sisters, Sr. Agnes Mary and Julia Yantz.

He is survived by his two sisters: Sr. Sedonia and Sr. Margaret Ellen Isenbart; his six children and their spouses: Angela (Tom) Reid, Alva, Carolyn (Boyd) Roberts, Celeste, Texas, Fred A. (Lana), Ron (Jo Ann), Alva, Deanna (Tim) Smith, Connie (John) Corral, Broken Arrow, grandchildren R.T. (Michelle) Reid, Eric (Kellie) Reid, Shannon Reid (Todd Abronowitz), Kent Salisbury, Nathan (Tesia) Roberts, Jennifer (Joe) Walters, Heath (Kelli) Isenbart; Chase Isenbart, Amanda (Tyler) Hughes, Julie (Simon) Kirkham, Olivia Smith, Emily (Daniel) Mason, and Ashley Corral. twenty-three great grandchildren: Ryan (Holly) Reid, Thane and Anne-Marie Reid, Quinn and Callum Reid, Maddie Edwards, Thomas, Ivy, and Theo Abronowitz, Cole, Vaughn, and Dane Salisbury, Taylin, Trinity, and Tyson Roberts, Jackie, Jaycee, and Jentry Farrar, Harper and Kreed Isenbart, Will and Jo Hughes, and April Mason; two great-great granddaughters, Emma and Claire Reid; many relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made through Wharton Funeral Chapel to the National Parkinson Foundation (www.parkinson.org) or Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
