Sacred Heart Cemetery


A funeral Mass for Catherine “Cathie” Agnes Duncan, 74, will be today at Ste. Marie Du Lac Catholic Church, Ironton, Mo. The Revs. Jim Unterreiner and Anthony Gaydos will officiate. Burial will be 9 a.m. Wednesday, March 11, 2009, in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Alva. Local arrangements are by Wentworth Mortuary, Carmen. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, March 10, 2009, at the mortuary.

She was born Feb. 9, 1935, in Carmen to Thomas and Gertrude M. Morrow Steve and died Friday, March 6, 2009, in St. Louis, Mo.

She worked as a registered nurse at Arcadia Valley Hospital. She was a member of Ste. Marie Du Lac Catholic Church.

Surviving are four children, Claire Backer of St. Louis, Michael Duncan of Lesterville, Mo., Beth Lambert of Park Hills, Mo., and Amanda Duncan of Columbia, Mo.; two sisters, Mary Hanson of San Francisco and Teresa “Rose” Steve of Oklahoma City; and eight grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sons.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to St. Vincent DePaul Society.
