Alva – Solomon "Sol" Bouziden, Jr., 68, died Wednesday in Alva. Rosary services will be 7:30 PM Friday in the Wharton Funeral Chapel. Mass of Christian burial will be 10 AM Saturday in the Alva Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with the Rev. John T. Zagar officiating. Burial will be in the Sacred Heart Cemetery.
He was born on May 3, 1917, West of Aline and graduated from high school in Goltry. On August 27, 1941 he married Rosemary Davie in Alva.
He is survived by his wife, Rosemary; three daughters, Rosanne Kubicek, Bartlesville, Nina Beth Oakes, Onaga, Kansas, and Linda Bouziden, Alva; three sons, David Bouziden, Ashland, Kansas, Steven Bouziden, Clovis, New Mexico, and Christopher Bouziden, Alva; five grandchildren; four sisters, Anna Wilson, Mabel Bouzidn, Della Gisson and Sadie Abraham; two brothers, Mike Bouziden and Albert Bouziden.
Memorials in his memory may be made to the Oklahoma Research Foundation for blood diseases with the funeral home acting as custodian of the fund.
