Graveside service for Missy Melkus, 45, of Freedom, will be 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 11, 2013, in Preston Hill Cemetery, northeast of Freedom. Arrangements by Wharton Funeral Chapel, Alva.

Missy was born June 11, 1968, in Guthrie, Okla., to Beverly (Channel) and Harold Elledge and died Monday, Oct. 7, 2013, in Enid.

She married Linn Melkus April 30, 1994, in Guthrie.

Surviving are husband, Linn of the home; sons, Brandon and Christopher, Freedom; the daughter she never had, Yvette Williams, Freedom; parents, Beverly and Harold Elledge, Guthrie; sister, Linda Savory (Don), Guthrie; and brother, Eric (Samatha), Guthrie; Condolences may be made online at www.whartonfuneralchapel.com.
