Funeral service for Cleo Merle Redgate will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2015, at Elm and Murrow Church of Christ, with Bill David Walker and Scott Kysar officiating. Interment will be at Memorial Hill Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home of Waynoka, LLC.
Cleo Merle Redgate, daughter of the late Daniel Warren and Opal Lena (Hanan) Bosley, was born Feb. 17, 1922, in Gage, Okla., and passed away Saturday, Sept. 5, 2015, in Alva, Okla., at the age of 93 years, 6 months and 15 days. Cleo graduated from Waynoka High School.
On Sept. 27, 1942, she was united in marriage to Luther Edwin Redgate in Waynoka, Okla. She live most of her life in Waynoka. She was a member of Elm and Murrow Church of Christ. She liked to help other people however she could by cutting their hair, doing sewing projects or whatever they needed. The artistic side of Cleo enjoyed oil painting and poetry.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Luther; one brother, Dale Bosley; and three infant sisters, Rita, Nita and Leta.
Cleo is survived by three sons, Lyman Redgate of Waynoka, Max Redgate and wife Debra of Waynoka, and Steve Redgate and wife Connie of Waynoka, and one brother, Warren Bosley and wife Jo of Aurora, Colo. Also surviving are eight grandchildren, Lori Redgate of Bartlesville, Landon Redgate and wife Nikki of Anthony, Kan., Lyle Redgate and wife Karma of Anthony, Kan., Dana Church and husband Kyle of Sentinel, Okla., Amy Vernon and husband C.C. of York, Neb., Chancey Hanson and husband John of Waynoka, Ryan Redgate and wife Dacia of Waynoka, and Monica Shepard and husband Dusty of Waynoka; 18 great-grandchildren, Traben and Tayen Redgate, Kyler Shepard, Ashlynn DeCoudres, Keith, Jennifer, MacKenzie, Hailey, Allison, Zoie, Chase and Leah Redgate, Caden and Madison Church, Ansley and Cole Vernon and Addley and Charles Hanson; other relatives and many friends.
Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to the Bible Chair in Alva, Okla.
