The Graveside services celebrating and honoring the life of Joyce J. Berends, 76, of Enid will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday May 17, 2019 in the Memorial Hill Cemetery of Waynoka, Oklahoma with Pastor Kelly Russell officiating. Services are under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.
She was born October 30, 1942 to Vera Waits Scwartz and passed from this life on May 10, 2019 in Enid, Oklahoma.
She was raised and educated in Woodward, Oklahoma, graduating from Woodward High School. She then married Clyde G. Berends in 1960 and raised her family. She worked at various jobs through the years. She worked for K-Mart, Chaparral Trucking, and as a bookkeeper for Enid Iron and Metal and Gordon Furniture. She then worked at an optometrist office where she would grind lenses and worked for nursing homes as a medication specialist.
She is survived by her sons, Dennis Berends, Michael Berends and Leland Berends, and grandchildren, Dillon, Jamie and Taylor.
She was preceded in death by her parents
