ENID - The funeral for William "Billy" Ensor Quast, 70, of Alva, will be 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 28, 2010, at Zion Lutheran Church, Alva. The Rev. Mark Bersche will officiate. Burial will be in Zion Lutheran Cemetery. Arrangements are by Wharton Funeral Chapel, Alva.
He was born Nov. 26, 1939, in Alva to William J. and Hildred May Leatherman Quast and died Friday, Jan. 22, 2010.
He attended Lutheran School and graduated from Alva High School in 1957. He graduated from Northwestern State College May 26, 1961, with a bachelor of science degree in chemistry and mathematics. He received his master of education degree in May 1969. He taught in the South Barber School System until he retired in 1984.
He took over the family business and became a full-time farmer and cattleman. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church.
Surviving are several aunts and cousins.
Memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran Church, Capron Fire Department or Northwesten Oklahoma State University science department.
