November 21, 1925 - June 10, 2021Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, June 14, 2021, at Wharton Funeral Chapel. Family visitation will be held from 9 to 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Lutheran Cemetery. Online condolences may be made at http://www.whartonfuneralchapel.com.

Goldie Margareta, daughter of Joe and Frieda (Dubben) Lohmann, was born November 21,1925, on a farm southeast of Alva. She passed away on June 10, 2021, at the age of 95. She attended the Lutheran School and was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church.
On April 6, 1947, she was united in marriage to Harold C. Meyer. To their marriage two daughters, LaDonna Kay and LaVina Jo, were born. They made their home in Alva until 1951 when they moved to the Meyer family farm southwest of Alva.
Goldie was actively involved with helping Harold take care of the farm. She was a true farm girl and lived happily in her home until the day she passed away.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold C.,her parents, her brother, Raymond Lohmann, and an infant sister, Leona Ida.
She is survived by her daughters, LaDonna and her husband, Harmon Ellis, of Oklahoma City, and LaVina Jo Meyer and her husband, Alex Avalos, of South Padre Island, Texas, her grandson, Jeff Ellis, of Oklahoma City, and other relatives and friends.
We remember Goldie and loved her as a strong woman who took care of her family, and as a dear friend to so many.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Zion Lutheran Church, Alva, Oklahoma.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
Harold is survived by his wife Goldie; two daughters, LaDonna and her husband Harmon Ellis of Oklahoma City, and LaVina Tyrrell of South Padre Island, Texas; a grandson, Jeff Ellis of Oklahoma City; one brother, Karl W. Meyer of Oklahoma City; an aunt, Marjorie Goins of Edmond, a nephew, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Nov. 8 at the Alva Zion Lutheran Church. Rev. Mark L. Bersche, pastor, will officiate. Interment will be in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery. Wharton Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the Lutheran Hour or to the donor's choice.
