Funeral services for Alice May Lohmann Acord Chaffin will be 10 a.m. Friday, October 14, 2022, at the Zion Lutheran Church with Pastor Tim Roggow officiating. Interment will be in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home of Alva.
Alice May Lohmann Acord Chaffin, daughter of the late Herman and Hilda (Bachmann) Pheiffer, was born October 10, 1929, in Shawneetown, Missouri, and passed away October 9, 2022, in Enid, Oklahoma, at the age of 92 years, 11 months and 29 days.
Alice attended schools in southeast Missouri. On May 9, 1948, she was united in marriage to Edgar Lohmann at Shawneetown, Missouri. He preceded her in death on April 21, 1980.
On April 28, 1992, she was united in marriage to Floyd Acord at Coldwater, Kansas. He preceded her in death on July 1, 1996.
On May 13, 2005, she was united in marriage to Elmer Chaffin at Woodward, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on March 3, 2015.
She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church where she taught Sunday school for many years. She was a previous member of the Women's Missionary League and Alva B.P.W. She worked as a bookkeeper for many years at Johnston Grain Company and later as a door greeter at WalMart.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Danny; her husbands Edgar Lohmann, Floyd Acord and Elmer Chaffin; three brothers, Tillman and Raymond and a stillborn; two sisters, Norma Pfeiffer and Thelma Tertochak; and one sister-in-law, Esther Pfeiffer.
Alice is survived by her son, Eddie and Nancy Lohmann of Enid; five grandchildren, Daneece and Cory Foth of Peabody, Kansas, Todd and Jennifer Lohmann of Manchester, Oklahoma; Sherri and Paul Fast of Enid, Shawn and Timmie Lohmann of Enid; and Amy and Clint Erikson of Alva; eight great grandchildren, Cierra and Zac Goodwin of Peabody, Kansas, Madyson Foth of Peabody, Kansas, Lane Lohmann of Cimarron, Kansas, and Kailey, Trent, Trevor Lohmann of Manchester, Oklahoma; Ruston and Tanith Erikson of Alva; one great great granddaughter, Hazel Goodwin; and her daughter-in-law, Nieta Lohmann of Kiowa, Kansas. She is also survived by two stepsons, five step-grandchildren; six step great grandchildren; her sister-in-law, Alice Pfeiffer of Oak Ridge, Missouri; other relatives and friends. She was a life long member of the Lutheran Church.
