Freedom – The funeral for Lindsey Michelle Reed, four-year-old daughter of Randy and Sue Nixon Reed, Freedom, will be at 10 AM Friday in the Freedom high school auditorium. Kirk Smethers, pastor of Freedom Christian Church, and Clint Pertell, pastor of Freedom United Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Freedom Cemetery under direction of Wharton Funeral Chapel, Alva.
Lindsay died Tuesday, August 20, 1985 in the M. D. Anderson Cancer and Tumor Institute at Houston, Texas, after a lengthy illness.
She was born November 26, 1980, at Buffalo and lived all her life at Freedom where she was dedicated in the Freedom Christian Church at the age of one, and was a member of the Strawberry Patch Preschool. She also was a member of the gymnastics class at Alva.
Besides her parents, she is survived by a brother, Jarrod, and a sister, Ashley, both of the home; grandparents, Wesley and Marion Nixon, Freedom, and Dancel and Wanda Reed, Great Bend, Kansas; and great – grandmother, Jennie Culver, Freedom.
Memorials in her name may be made to the M. D. Anderson Hospital, Houston, Texas, and the Freedom Christian Church.
