Donald Rexford (Rex) Beagley
July 7, 1947 - November 15, 2024
Graveside services for Rex Beagley will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 23, 2024, at the Freedom Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home of Alva.
Donald "Rex" Beagley was the first-born son of Jean and Lloyd Beagley, born July 7, 1947, at Alva, and passed away November 15, 2024, at his home in Alva at the age of 77 years.
Rex was raised around Lookout, Oklahoma, and attended and graduated Freedom High School with the Class of 1965. Rex married his wife, Johnette, on February 19, 1966, in Alva, where they lived and raised their son, Scott.
He graduated from Northwestern Oklahoma State College in 1970 with an accounting degree. He went on to work as an accountant at a small firm for one year before he moved on to Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City as the controller for 9 years. In 1981, Rex and Johnette went into business with Johnette's brother, Edward Scribner, and built homes under the company Mastercraft.
After that venture concluded, Rex and his wife opened Classic Mustang Parts in Oklahoma City in 1985, where they owned and worked until retiring in 2008 and returned to Alva to farm and ranch. Rex was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved wife, Johnette.
He is survived by his brother, Steve Beagley and his wife Carolyn; his son, Scott Beagley; his granddaughters, Brandy Muldoon and Allyson Moore and her husband Josh; and many other relatives and loved ones.
A dedicated friend, hardworking, friendly neighbor, and loving grandfather are only a few terms that people who knew him would use to describe him, and he will be dearly missed. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to Wounded Warrior Project or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
Remembrances may be shared with the family at www.marshallfuneralhomes.com.
