Lucy Addline, daughter of Dora (Wilks) and Albert Icke was born May 16, 1922 near Alva in Woods County. She passed away at Beadles Nursing Home on the 26th day of July at the age of 90 years, two months and 10 days.

Funeral service will be Wednesday, August 1, 2012, at 10 a.m. at the Wharton Funeral Chapel in Alva with Rev. Mark McDonald, pastor of the Alva Friends Church, officiating. Interment will be in the Capron Cemetery. Condolences may be made online at www.whartonfuneralchapel.com.

She attended the Alva Public School System.

Miss Icke was married to Gerald LeRoy Throckmorton on July 9, 1941 in Cherokee, Oklahoma. To their marriage four children: Gary Lee, Linda Mae, Dorothy Joan and Mike LeRoy were born. Gerald passed away February 13, 1995.

Following their marriage they lived in California for one year. Then they moved north of Capron where they farmed. Lucy cooked in several cafés in the area. After retiring they made their home in Alva where Lucy was an Avon representative for many years.

Lucy was a member of the Capron United Methodist Church and a Charter member of Women of the Moose Chapter 1643.

Mrs. Throckmorton was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Anna; and five brothers: George, Albert, Issac, Roscoe and Alvin.

Lucy is survived by two daughters: Linda and Eddie Rathbun of Rush Springs, Oklahoma, and Dorothy “Dottie” Bakes of Grand Forks, North Dakota; and two sons and their wives, Gary and Pat of Delmar, Delaware and Mike and Judy of Alva.

She is also survived by ten grandchildren: Randy Bakes, Tim and Niki Rathbun, Sherri and Jamie Jack, Brian and Suzanne Throckmorton, Chris and Bonnie Throckmorton, Jennifer Throckmorton, Jason and Jenny Rathbun, Grant and Melissa Gibson, Joe Throckmorton and Michelle and Adam Colclasure; nineteen great grandchildren; a sister, Dorothy McKinley, and two brothers and their wives: Herman and Leona Icke and Paul and Emily Icke; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Alva Senior Citizens Center or Capron Cemetery Association.
