Deceased: William H. (Bill) Flury, 96, Avard
Funeral services will be held April 7 at 10 a.m. at the Avard Christian Church with Sean Evans, pastor, Alva First Christian Church, officiating. Military Honors will be presented by Co. B 1st Bn. 179 Inf. Interment is in the Avard I.O.O.F. Cemetery with Wharton Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements. Condolences may by made online at www.whartonfuneralchapel.com.
He was preceded in death by Mrs. Flury on Feb. 4, 1965, two daughters, Janice Faye Flury and Yvonne Wenzel, his parents, two sisters, Lois Flury and Germaine Bixler and a brother, Herbert.
Bill is survived by his companion of 29 years, Stephanie Posen of Albuquerque, N.M.; a daughter and her husband, JoAnn and Bill Dupree of Amarillo, Texas; two sons, James of Seattle, Wash., and Scott and his wife Lilija of Chama, N.M.; 11 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren; two sisters, Justine Lancaster of Alva, Betty and her husband Chuck Stewart of Avard, and a brother Joe Dan Flury of Guthrie, and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Contributions may be made in his memory to the Avard Christian Church or the Monte Vista Christian Church of Albuquerque, N.M.
