Funeral services for Grace Marie Chipman will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, February 15, 2018, at the Elm and Murrow Church of Christ in Waynoka with Bill David Walker officiating. Interment will be in the Avard Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home of Waynoka LLC.
Grace Marie Chipman, daughter of the late Frank Alfred and Mary Jane (Sims) Bergen, was born on April 14, 1941, in Alva, Oklahoma, and passed away February 9, 2018, at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, at the age of 76 years, 9 months and 26 days. She was the youngest of 13 children and grew up on a farm near Avard, Oklahoma. She attended Avard school through the tenth grade, and transferred to Waynoka High School, where she graduated in 1959. She was extremely proud and loving of her five children that she raised in Waynoka.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by ten siblings – Jim Bergen, John Bergen, Florene Rowland, Raymond Bergen, Hazel Lord, Opal Treece and four infants.
She is survived by her children Phyllis Chipman, Chris Moore (Mike), Judy Stansbury, Kim Steinbach (Mike), and Todd Chipman; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; sisters Dora Jean Watt and Yvonne Manning; other relatives and friends.
Grace will be forever cherished by her children and grandchildren. She had a wonderful soul and blessed many with her kindness.
