Alva – Funeral services for Nola G. Utterback, 64, will be at 2 PM Monday in the Alva First United Methodist Church.

The Rev. Darrel Hardy, pastor, will officiate at the rites and burial will be in the Alva Municipal Cemetery, with arrangements under the direction of the Wharton Funeral Chapel of Alva.

Mrs. Utterback was born August 14, 1918, near Byron and attended the Glen rural school. She and Ivan Utterback were married at Anthony, Kansas, April 19, 1934.

They have lived since that time in northwest Oklahoma where they farmed and had lived in Alva the past 32 years.

Mrs. Utterback was preceded in death by a sister and a brother.

She is survived by her husband Ivan of the home; four daughters, Nola (Mrs. Tom) Anderston, Great Bend, Kansas, Norma (Mrs. Bill) Clark, Woodward, Pearl (Mrs. Lyle) Murrow and Dixie (Mrs. Georgia) Littrell, both of Alva; three sons, Bill Utterback, Alva, Jerry Utterback, Wakita, George Utterback, Byron, 26 grandchildren; 13 great – grandchildren; five sisters, Flora (Mrs. John) Lee, Alva, Georgia (Mrs. John) Stauffacher, Blackwell, Rosalee (Mrs. Ray) Clepper, Burbanks, Helen (Mrs. Jeanne) Hardgrove, Blackwell, Dorothy (Mrs. Don) Swarts, Fort Worth, Texas, and a brother, George Beadman of Harper, Kansas.

Deceased: Ivan A. Utterback, 84, Alva

Mr. Utterback was preceded in death by his daughter, Dixie Littrell on May 8, 1993; his son, George "Doc" on Jan. 8, 2001; a great grand daughter, Elizabeth Utterback on April 20, 1985, and also his parents.

Ivan is survived by his friend, Gwendolyn Simmons; three daughters and their husbands, Nola Mae Anderson of Hardtner, Kan., Pearl and Lyle Murrow of Alva, and Norma and Bill Clark of Woodward; two sons and their wives, Bill and Maxine of Avard and Jerry and Loretta of Cherokee; 27 grand children; 43 great grandchildren; and seven great-great grandchildren; a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. April 16 at the Alva First United Methodist Church with Pastor Bob Brown, Alva Church of God, officiating. Interment will be in the Alva Municipal Cemetery. Wharton Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Memorial contributions in his memory may be made to the Alva Church of God Building Fund or the Alva Municipal Cemetery.
