The funeral for Kenneth Lee Trekell Sr., 51, of Alva, will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Alva Friends Church. Pastor Mark McDonald will officiate. Bu-rial will be in Alva Municipal Cemetery. Arrangements are by Wharton Funeral Chapel, Alva.
He was born Aug. 5, 1956, in Alva to Faye Elaine Hada and Robert William Trekell and died Saturday, Feb. 23, 2008, at his home.
He at-tended school at Horace Mann and Lincoln before graduating from high school in 1974. He attended North-west Technology Center. He was a member of Boy Scouts Troop 392 of Alva, Order of the Arrow and achieved the rank of Eagle Scout.
He married Christina Bragg Aug. 22, 1974, in Wichita, Kan. They lived in Alva, and he worked at Starr Lumber, Bob Coker Motors, International Harvesting Tractor Co., Beredco Drilling Co. as a driller and Oklahoma State Highway Department as an equipment operator until he was injured.
He was a member of Alva Friends Church.
Surviving are his children, Kary Bell of Flagler, Colo., and Lee Trekell and Kristi Kelly, both of Alva; two sisters, La Vonna Gribble of Alva and Judy Kirby of Lawton; one brother, Robert Trekell Jr. of Alva; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one grandson.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home.
