Norman E. Schaefer, 90, Alva
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Ella Arthur and three brothers, Andrew, Virgil, and Darrel (Pete).
Norman is survived by his wife, Adelia of the home; his daughter and her husband, Jeanette and Vernie Hackney; a granddaughter and her husband, Sharon and Lee Brandt; two great grandchildren, Laura and her husband Kevin Radford all of Alva, and Ryan Brandt of Oklahoma City; two great great grandsons, Wyatt and Garrett Radford of Alva; a stepdaughter, Sharon Harris and husband, Zearl; two step-grand daughters and husbands, Traci and Randy Schwerdtfeger and Terri and Doug Wiersig; 4 step-great grand children Taylor, Wade, Shalyn and Lane, all of Alva; two sister-in-laws Homa Lee Frieden and Kaye Larson; a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Services will be Dec. 31 at 2 p.m. at the Wharton Funeral Chapel with Rev. Joel Picard, pastor of the Alva Zion Lutheran Church officiating. Interment will be in the Alva Municipal Cemetery under the direction of Wharton Funeral Chapel, Alva.
Contribution made be made in his honor to the Alva Zion Lutheran Church or the Alva Education Foundation.
