Funeral services for Delwin “Bear” F. Rose, age 63, of Waukomis will be 10 a.m. Thursday at the Waukomis Baptist Church with Rev. Danny Marney officiating.
Burial will be in the Alva Municipal Cemetery at 2 p.m. Thursday under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends Wednesday evening 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home. The casket will be open at the cemetery from 1:30 to 2 p.m.
Delwin was born October 14, 1948 in Alva, to Floyd J. and Nelta Bush Rose and passed away at his home, Saturday, August 25, 2012. He was raised in Alva where he attended and graduated from Alva High School in 1968.
He married Patricia Winkelman on January 18, 1997 in Ponca City.
Delwin helped his father with masonry jobs and helped with building sizemagraph trucks for Mertz Trucking. He drove trucks for Rattliff Construction Company. He worked for Henson Construction Company. He was a truck driver for Dollar Trucking in Hennessey.
He loved being outside, gardening, and loved to be around people.
He attended the Waukomis Baptist Church.
Delwin is survived by his wife Patricia of the home, children, Curtis Ingmire of Ponca City and Kristin Mitchell of Blackwell, his mother Nelta Rose of Alva, a brother, Ivan and his wife Jean Rose of Alva, four grandchildren, Taylor, Samara, Conner, and Brooklyn Mitchell, nephew, Jason Rose, nieces, Audra Rose and Annalisa Rose and host of relative and friends. His cats Garfield, Spook and Maggie.
He was preceded in death by his father Floyd and his twin sons, Michael and Jeffrie.
Memorials may be made in his name to Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
