Chris Ruwaldt, pastor of the First Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will be in the Alva Municipal Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home of Alva. There will be a visitation with the family present Wednesday from 5 p.m to 7 p.m.

Bailey Shae Rhodes, daughter of Earnest Dean and Mary Elizabeth (Janzen) Rhodes, was born January 23, 1997, at Alva, Oklahoma, and passed away February 16, 2018, at Enid, Oklahoma, at the age of 21 years and 23 days. Bailey attended Alva School and Burlington School. She attended the Baptist church and Cedar Grove Wesleyan Church. She was always a tomboy at heart and loved to hunt, fish and ride four-wheelers. She had so much love for animals, especially her dog, Holly. She loved Holly so much. She loved to make all sorts of things; she was very crafty and loved to paint. Bailey had a long, hard fight going through dialysis since she was 12 years old. Bailey was so full of life and had a heart as big as the sky. She brought light to everyone's life, even when she was fighting her own battles.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Harold Janzen; and her paternal grandparents, Garnie and Phyllis Rhodes.

Bailey is survived by her mother, Mary Rhodes of Alva; her father, Earnest Rhodes and wife, Amy Lou, of Alva; one sister, Lacey Janae Rhodes of Edmond; one brother, Stetson Coy Rhodes of Alva; two step-sisters, Samantha Jo Dorward of Oklahoma City, and Cember Dawn Dorward of Alva; her maternal grandmother, Helen Janzen of Alva; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the funeral home.
