Illness Fatal to City Girl
Jeanetta Paya Victim of Pneumonia
Word of the death of miss Jeanetta Paya, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Paya, 710 Barnes Avenue, at 1 AM today at Denver, Colorado, was received today by friends.
Mrs. Paya was on her way to Denver with her parents when she became ill with pneumonia. Her death came this morning.
Ms. Paya had been making her home in Denver for the past year and came to Alva recently for a 10 days' visit with her parents. They were on their way to Denver with her when she contracted her fatal illness.
The body will arrive here Friday night, accompanied by the parents. Funeral services have not been arranged but probably will be held Sunday, friends of the family said
Mrs. Paya was a graduate of Alva high school. The family has lived here for many years.

Funeral will be at 4 o'clock
Funeral services for Miss Jeannetta Paya, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Paya, 710 Barnes Ave., will be held at 4 o'clock Sunday afternoon at the First Friends church. Burial will be made in the A O U W Cemetery.
Miss Paya passed away Thursday morning at Denver, Colorado. The body was returned here Friday night.
Miss Paya had been in Alva visiting her parents for a short time, and was returning to Denver accompanied by them when she contracted pneumonia and her death followed.
She formerly attended Alva high school. Mr. and Mrs. Paya have made their home here for many years.
Rice funeral home is in charge of arrangements.
