The funeral for Rose G. Parker, 89, of Alva, will be 3 p.m. Friday at Alva Church of God. The Rev. Bob Brown will officiate. Burial will be in Alva Municipal Cemetery. Arrangements are by Wharton Funeral Chapel, Alva.

She was born Jan. 11, 1917, on a farm north of Dacoma to Millie Jane Clark and Wesley Kassik and died Monday, May 29, 2006, at Alva Beadles Nursing Home.

She attended Alva grade school and graduated from Dacoma High School in 1935.

She married Charles W. Rolfe in Woodward. They made their home on a farm near Dacoma. In 1954, they moved to a farm south of Hopeton. He died May 30, 1961.

She later married Chester E. Parker Nov. 28, 1963. They lived on a farm east of Avard. He died Feb. 6, 1974.

She was a member of Dacoma E.U.B. Church and attended Alva Church of God.

Surviving are one son, Robin Rolfe of Alva; one sister, Juanita Harwick of Stillwater; eight grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by two sons, one daughter, one sister and four brothers.

Memorials may be made to Alva Church of God.
