GLEN SAMUEL SR. and ANN EDITH ALDRIGE PARKER

A memorial service for Glen Samuel Sr., 93, and Ann Edith Aldrige Parker, 87, will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Marshall Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Greg Hook will officiate. A private inurnment will be held at a later time in Alva Municipal Cemetery. Arrangements are by Marshall Funeral Home, Alva.

Glen Samuel, was born Dec. 9, 1911, in Glazier, Texas, to George Solomon and Dora Gumm Parker and died August 21, 2005, at Beadles Nursing Home, Alva.

Ann Edith Aldridge Parker was born Aug. 24, 1918, in Seminole County to J. Frank and Lillian Bernice Spink Aldridge near Vamoosa and died Friday, Nov. 25, 2005, at Beadles Nursing Home, Alva.

She grew up and attended school in Wewoka, graduating from Wewoka High School. She attended East Central Teachers College and married Glen Samuel Parker Feb. 1, 1936, in Ada. She was a secretary and homemaker. They would have celebrated 70 years in February 2006.

He was a mechanic by trade and owned and operated the Glen Parker Motor Clinic, retiring in 1978. He was a 32nd Degree Mason and a square dance caller.

Surviving are one son, Glen Samuel Parker Jr. of Alva; one daughter, Glenda Ann Maxwell of Edinburg, Texas; 10 grandchildren; and many great- and great-great-grandchildren. He is survived by three sisters, Mary Roos, Anna Conklin and Geraldean Jackson; and she is survived by one sister, Minnie Mae Cox of California.

He was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Share Medical Center Hospice.
