Funeral services will be at the First United Methodist Church on Dec. 22 at 2 p.m. with Reverend J. Weegie Williams, pastor, officiating. Interment Service by the Masonic Lodge follows at the Alva Municipal Cemetery. Wharton Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
He was preceded in death by his mother on Dec. 24, 1955; his father on Nov. 26, 1975; a sister, Lila Scribner on Sept. 13, 1992, and a brother, Harley on April 25, 1979.
Gloyd is survived by his wife of 55 years, Dorothy of the home; two daughters and their husbands, Pam and Leon "Butch" Corr of Enid, Vicki and David Harzman of Woodward; a son, Neil and his wife Jann, of Ruston, La.; nine grandchildren and their spouses, Amie and Gary Willeford of Duncan, Heather and Wes Reames of Enid, Zeb Lyon and Ray Lyon, both of Alva, Blake Hickman of Enid, Amber and Donnie Grider and Ashlie Stewart, all of Oklahoma City, Ashley Harzman and Amanda Harzman both of Woodward; two great-grandchildren, Hunter and Keeton; also a sister, Florence Dowling of Alva; a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Contributions in his memory may be made to the Alva First United Methodist Church.
