A graveside service for Bonnie Lenhart, 76, will be 2 p.m. Monday in Alva Municipal Cemetery. The Rev. Sean Evans will officiate. Arrangements are by Marshall Funeral Home of Alva. The casket will remain closed.
She was born Dec. 22, 1930, near Freedom to R.I. “Rudy” and Alice Kendrick Eden and died Friday, Oct. 19, 2007.
She attended Fairvalley school and Alva schools, where she graduated. She attended Oklahoma State University and graduated from Northwestern State College with a degree in social work. She married Jack Lenhart Feb. 17, 1951, in Newton, Texas. She worked as secretary to the president at Northwestern State College. She was co-owner of Daisy Village for many years. She worked at Achenbach Learning Center in Hardtner, Kan., and Parkview Learning Center in Macksville, Kan. She was a member of First Christian Church and Chapter ET of PEO.
Surviving are two daughters, Jana Thiesing of Alva and Keri Myers of Kingfisher; and four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Jack Dec. 31, 2005, and one brother.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Alva First Chritian Church, Humane Society or Creature Concerns.

The funeral for Jack Eugene Lenhart, 77, of Alva will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Marshall Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Sean Evans will officiate. Burial will be in Alva Municipal Cemetery.
He was born May 10, 1928, at Alva to Russell James and Clara Bell Mincher Lenhart and died Saturday, Dec. 31, 2005, at Share Convalescent Home, Alva.
He graduated from Alva High School in 1946. He played basketball, football and ran track. He was awarded the Omar Hill award as the outstanding football player his senior year.
He married Bonnie in Newton, Texas, six weeks before leaving for Korea with the 45th Division in the Army. He was awarded the Bronze Star.
He farmed and ranched. He showed cattle and judged in the American Royal in Kansas City. He was awarded the Outstanding Conservation award at the Tulsa State Fair.
He was a member of First Christian Church, Cattlemen’s Association, Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion and lifetime member of Old Cowhand Association.
Surviving are his wife, Bonnie of the home; two daughters, Jana Thiesing of Alva and Keri Myers of Kingfisher; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one brother.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to First Christian Church or Share Convalescent Home Activity Fund.
