FRANKIE MARION HICKEY HARTH
The funeral for Frankie Marion Hickey Harth, 80, will be 10 a.m. Friday at Alva First Christian Church. Pastor Sean Evans will officiate. Burial will be in Alva Municipal Cemetery. Arrangements are by Wharton Funeral Home, Alva.

She was born Jan. 11, 1925, on a farm north of Freedom to Lillian Marion Roller and Frank Talmage Hickey and died Saturday, July 3, 2005, at Via Christi St. Francis Hospital Hospice Center, Wichita, Kan.

She attended elementary school at Pleasant Hill District 80 and graduated from Freedom High School in 1942. She attended Northwestern State College at Alva. She received a temporary teacher's certificate, teaching at a rural grade school. She married Ollie Roland Harth Jan. 18, 1945, in Alva. They lived on a farm northwest of Alva. He died Nov. 29, 1985. She was a waitress in Alva, was a bookkeeper at Houston Lumber Yard in Alva and worked for Woods County Welfare Department, Darnell Furniture and Woods County ASCS office, retiring in 1989.

She was a member of First Christian Church in Alva, Rebekkah's Lodge, Christian Women's Fellowship Guild, Alva Bowling Association and Alva Women of the Moose, for which she served as senior regent in 1983. She received the College of Regents Academy of Friendship degree, was junior graduate regent, received her College of Regents cap and gown and was star recorder.

Surviving are two daughters, Sandra Jeanne Pendergraft of Ponca City and Barbara Dale Hall of Wichita; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sisters, four brothers and one granddaughter. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society.
