Mathilda Frieda "Tillie" Hannaford, daughter of the late Jacob and Fredricka (Reinschmidt) Resler, was born August 5, 1918, in Alfalfa County, Oklahoma, and passed away December 12, 2005, at Alva, Oklahoma, at the age of 87 years, 4 months, and 7 days.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne; one son, Roger Hannaford; and four brothers and four sisters.
Tillie is survived by two sons, Jim Hannaford and his wife, Diane, of Alva, and Steve Hannaford and his wife, Brenda, of Alva; one daughter-in-law, Jane Hannaford Gaskill; seven grandchildren, Bo Hannaford of Ponca City, Oklahoma, Kristy Taylor and her husband, Tim, of Flower Mound , Texas, Chris Hannaford and his wife, Tracy, of Mustang, Oklahoma, Kecia Smith and her husband, Andrew of Wichita, Kansas, Misty Segarra and her husband, Steve, of Stillwater, Minnesota, Shona and Mike Scouten of Plano, Texas, and Daniele McOsker and her husband, Justin, of Alva; thirteen great grandchildren, Carson, Hawkens, Dustin, Devon, Dillon, Tanner, Ciara, Logan, Jasmine, Nicole, Kellie, Abby, and Hudson; other relatives and friends.
Private graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 14, 2005, at the Alva Municipal Cemetery with Pastor Mark Bersche of the Zion Lutheran Church officiating. Interment is under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home of Alva.
Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to the NWOSU Foundation or the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation.
